1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PolyCLI ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are acting on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

PolyCLI is a build-time internationalisation (i18n) translation tool that uses AI to automatically translate JSON locale files, Flutter ARB files, and Markdown documents. The Service operates through a command-line interface ("CLI") that communicates with PolyCLI cloud APIs.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service you must create an account with accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. Sharing API keys between multiple users or organisations is not permitted.

4. Credits and Billing

  • The Service uses a credit-based billing model. Credits are purchased in advance and deducted as you translate content.
  • Credits are counted after variable extraction — template placeholders such as {{name}} or ICU tokens are excluded from the word count.
  • Credits never expire.
  • All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
  • We reserve the right to modify credit pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate the rights of any third party.
  • Attempt to overload, disrupt, or compromise the security or integrity of the Service.
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Use automated scripts to create accounts or manipulate the credit system.

6. Intellectual Property

PolyCLI, its software, branding, and documentation are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Translated output generated by the Service is owned by you. You grant PolyCLI a limited, revocable licence to process your content solely to provide the Service.

7. Privacy

Use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein.

8. Third-Party AI Providers

The Service routes translation requests through OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States). We select providers that comply with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR where relevant. We are not liable for content generated by AI models and make no warranty regarding the accuracy or fitness of any translated output.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, POLYCLI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO POLYCLI IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. Unused credits are forfeited upon account closure. We may suspend or terminate your access without notice if you breach these Terms. Provisions regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the effective date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Italy.

14. Contact
